Lets get them something novel and exciting.

By all means get the flowers but dont be the only one to get a bouquet of flowers without water crystals. Water crystals also go by the name crystal soil, crystal mud, water beads and water gel beads. But they all refer to the same colourful water absorbent polymers which are as small as sesame seeds but when soaked in water expand to over 150% their original size. once expanded all you need do is drain out the excess water and pot your cut flowers or indoor plants.

Water crystals is a form of hydroculture or hydroponics which is the method of growing plants without soil.Over the centuries it has been proven plants do not need soil to grow and water crystals is proof of that.Water crystals have been around for some time but have not been readily available.Florist tend to use them for wedding table arrangements but never sell them directly to consumers.

Ephraim Wales Bull developed the Concord variety way back in 1849. He researched a wild grape variety seen in Concord, Massachusetts – and that is where the name for these grapes originated. Growing this grape variety has also become a favorite among hobbyists and gardeners because the Concord variety is ea

Proper Pruning For Disease – Why You Should Not Remove Diseased Branches

Let’s talk about proper pruning for diseased branches. Even when covered in disease, the leaves of your plants are often still photosynthesizing and we definitely don’t want to remove the photosynthesizing capacity of a plant while it’s being eaten by a fungus or other disease. It needs all of the nutrients it can get. So what should we do?

Proper Pruning – What To Do With Dead And Damaged Wood

Proper pruning, as we are often told, involves removing the 3 D’s from our trees: Dead, Damaged and Diseased wood, so our organic gardening pruning chores revolve around that. Now pruning dead wood that could be a hazard, such as a big branch in a tree that might fall on your neighbor’s cat’s head, is a good idea. But the benefits get a little hazy when we look at damaged and diseased wood…
